1. Use the STAR Method

Situation: Start by describing the context or situation. Provide enough background so the interviewer understands the scenario.

  • Example: "In my previous role as a project manager, we were working on a critical project with a tight deadline."

Task: Explain your specific responsibility or the challenge you were facing.

  • Example: "My task was to coordinate a team of five and ensure we met the deadline, despite a sudden change in client requirements."

Action: Describe the actions you took to resolve the situation or accomplish the task. Focus on what you specifically did.

  • Example: "I organized daily check-ins to monitor progress and reallocated tasks based on each team member's strengths. I also communicated regularly with the client to manage expectations."

Result: Highlight the outcome, ideally with measurable results. Show how your actions led to a positive resolution.
