    • Be ready to answer questions about your past experiences, how you overcame challenges, and your contributions.
  4. Ask Thoughtful Questions:

    • At the end of the interview, ask insightful questions about the role, company culture, and next steps. It shows genuine interest and enthusiasm.
    • Example questions: “How does the team define success?” or “What are the immediate challenges the team is facing?”
  5. Follow Up with a Thank-You Note:

    • Send a thank-you email after the interview, expressing appreciation for the opportunity. Reiterate your enthusiasm for the role and why you’re a good fit.

Don’ts:

  1. Don’t Badmouth Previous Employers:

    • Even if you had negative experiences, remain professional. Criticizing past employers may make you seem negative or difficult to work with.
  2. Don’t Oversell or Undersell Yourself:

    • Be honest about your skills and experiences. Don’t exaggerate your abilities or be overly modest—find a balance that reflects confidence without arrogance.
  3. Don’t Arrive Unprepared:

    • Lack of preparation is a major red flag. Avoid winging it—come prepared with examples of your work, knowledge of the company, and rehearsed responses to common questions.
  4. Don’t Interrupt the Interviewer:

    • Listen carefully to the questions being asked and ensure the interviewer has finished speaking before you begin your response. Active listening is key.
  5. Don’t Focus Solely on Salary:

    • While compensation is important, don’t bring it up too early in the interview. Let the interviewer guide the conversation, and wait for the appropriate time, typically towards the end of the process, to discuss salary.
